As Headteacher, I am proud to welcome you to the Framwellgate website. Framwellgate School Durham is committed to achieving the highest standards in everything we do. We value ourselves as a dynamic, innovative community where all learners, students and staff are supported to the best they can be. Framwellgate School Durham is a specialist science college and, uniquely, hosts Science Learning Centre North East, (click to website) in a partnership with Durham University. We are a designated Training School with research and development of teaching and learning central to our vision. Framwellgate School Durham's success has led to it being awarded the status of High Performing Specialist School and recently, a National Support School (click here).

BSF Update - July 2010
As you may be aware, Michael Gove, Secretary of State for Education, has reviewed the planned expenditure on BSF. Following his announcement on 5th July, a list has been published showing the current status of projects following that review. This shows that The Durham Framwellgate Campus project is in “stopped” mode. This project has many unique features and work is underway to discuss the detail of its place in BSF. Further information will be provided as it is available.
