On results day, students are able to formally enrol on the courses they have chosen provided that they meet the grade criteria.  External applicants are welcome to enrol on the day once they have received their results from their school.  The Sixth Form pastoral team will be available to offer advice and guidance if there is a need or desire to change options from the initial application stage.

Students who have conditional offers will be invited to take part in an induction programme that begins after the summer exams.  This gives students an opportunity to meet tutors, gain a flavour of learning in the Sixth Form and an appreciation of the expectations of Level 3 study.

The induction programme continues with an introduction pack for each subject that include tasks to help students bridge the gap between Level 2 and Level 3 study. The first two weeks of the autumn term are also structured to help students get accustomed to the demands of their courses and allows teachers to get to know students, assess their capabilities and offer individual support. They also provide the basis for a target setting process which underpins the monitoring of academic performance as well as applications for further studies or employment.
